For this task I asked my brother to play some parts of the game Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and i asked him questions that related to the previous deconstruction of the game. I asked him the questions after letting them play for a while, the questions asked were these.
What genre would you describe this game as?
His response to this question was, "The games genre is an RPG adventure game"
What do you think of the games look and feel?
His response was, "This game has a very happy and lively feel because there's a lot of characters about and there's a lot of colourful environments as well.
What do you think about the gameplay, both overworld and in the battles?
His response was, "The hub world is good as is does not take too much time to get about places and the movement is good with the different ways of moving like turning into a boat and airplanes. The battle screen is really good because it rewards me when I react fast to button prompts that can happen throughout battles and everything is clear but its not to disruptive to the gameplay either"
How traditional of an RPG do you think this game is?
He said, "Its quite traditional because it has the same traits as other popular RPGs like final fantasy with its turn based battle system and an overworld to explore but the story telling is what sets it apart as its paced well and the characters keep you entertained throughout the story."
do you like how the game responds with you, from the text boxes to the visual responses?
His response was, "The text boxes are different from other games due to the fact that the text is not play, it can vary from different colours, fonts, sizing's and other things. In battle you get cheered on and you get more viewers the better you do which is a good sign that i am playing well."
